How to enter
1. First and foremost, make sure you are heading to one of the 3 Big Dog Walk events across the country
2. Upload one photo of your gorgeous beast onto our competition page. (links for each city below) - make sure you enter into the comp for your town - this will be the event you will be attending.
3. Vote vote vote! Get your whanau and friends over to our comp page to choose their Top Model!!

Judging
Three finalists for each town will be announced the day before the Big Dog Walk event for that town. Finalists must make sure they get to their event!
From these finalists, a Regional Top Model will be chosen by the Pet Connect judges on the catwalk at their event.
From the Regional winners, one lucky pooch will be crowned New Zealand’s Top Model (to be judged by Pet Connect). The big winner will be announced following the final Big Dog Walk event.
T&Cs
1. Finalists will be determined by public vote. Regional winners and the overall NZ winner will be chosen by the judges (Pet Connect). Highest public vote does not determine the overall winners.
2. One dog entry per person. We’re not condoning favourites here at Pet Connect just a fair result on the catwalk.
3. Finalists must be be on stage for judging, at their event, to be in the running to win. Entries for Wellington are open from 5th March 2018 - 5th April 2018. Entries are open from 5th March 2019 - 5th April 2019.
4. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed as acceptance of its terms and conditions.
5. Entry is open to New Zealand residents, aged 16 and over, excluding employees and their immediate families of Pet Connect and agencies associated with the competition.
6. Late, misdirected, illegal, incomplete or illegible, entries are invalid. Pet Connect is not responsible for such entries nor for any error, technical malfunction, loss, omission, communications delay or failure.
7. The Regional prize draws will take place live at The Big Dog Walk event on 6th April in Wellington & Auckland and 7th April in Christchurch.
8. There will be 1 x Nationwide winner selected from the Regional winners. All decisions are made by Pet Connect and are final and definite.
9. The successful winner will be notified by Facebook message (as per the contact details provided in the entry submitted), asked to claim their prize and announced in the comments section under the post following the prize draw. The successful winner's name will also be mentioned in a separate post following the prize draw.
10. Prizes are not transferable for cash or credit and no other correspondence will be entered into.
11. Prizes will be delivered to winners (to New Zealand residential addresses only), the timing of which to be confirmed by Pet Connect and may be subject to change.
12. By entering the competition and accepting the prize, the winner agrees that their details, photo, and filming of delivery and receiving the prize may be used for promotional activities.
13. If the prize is not claimed and accepted within 10 days from the draw date the Promoter may extend the claim period or redraw the prize at their sole discretion.
14. The overall winner’s prize of ‘One Year’s worth of Pet Supplies’ will be given in the form of 4 x $200 Pet Connect vouchers, issued to the winner every 3 months over the course of one year ($800 in total). Each $200 voucher will be valid for 4 months. This overall value of $800 is based on the 2016 Companion Animals in New Zealand Report, released by the NZ Companion Animal Council Inc.
15. In accordance with the Privacy Act 1993, Pet Connect collects personal information and the Promoter holds personal information to conduct the giveaway, notify prize winners, verify prize winners’ identities and may be used by the Promoter, for future promotional activities. Individuals have rights to access and request correction of their personal information held by Pet Connect by emailing info@petconnect.nz. Failure to provide all requested personal information may result in the entry being invalid.
16. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to vary the terms or cancel the competition without notice.
